CAPOLAVORO only uses precious metals from the secondary cycle - while maintaining a consistently high quality level of product and material. Secondary gold or recycled gold is created from leftovers: for example from used gold jewelry, from precious metals processed in electronics, from dental gold. Of course, an industrial process is also required to recover gold, but the environmental impact is significantly better than with gold mined from mines. Especially since the refineries that recycle the gold strive intensively to achieve CO2 neutrality. That is why recycling gold is considered to be absolutely contemporary - its use makes CAPOLAVORO a trendsetter in terms of sustainability. .

Gold alloy
Every shade of gold is enchanting in its own way...whether yellow, rosé or white. We get our recycled 750 gold or 18 carat gold from the most renowned German refineries in the jewelry town of Pforzheim. The different gold alloys determine the quality and color of the respective precious metal. During alloying, the gold is heated and mixed with other metals. Pure gold, declared as 999.9 thousandths by weight, is also known as 24 carat. In this purity it is used for gold bars, for example; pure gold would be too soft for jewelry making. A high-quality alloy commonly used in Germany is the 18 carat alloy, with 750 thousandths by weight, also known as 750 gold. We at Capolavoro only process gold of this fine quality.
The classic
18k yellow gold
Radiant like the sun itself. Pure gold is yellow - as nature created it and is mixed with other metals to make jewelry, primarily to increase resistance and reduce the risk of scratches and scuffs. As a rule, 18-carat gold is made of 75% pure gold mixed with 25% silver, copper and other trace elements. The respective proportions can intentionally influence the shade of yellow gold. Yellow gold is an absolute classic, radiating timeless beauty. It looks great with tanned skin, is the absolute favorite of women in southern countries, but suits every woman and every look.
The Flatterer
18k rose gold
A feminine shade that feels soft and flattering on the skin and has become the favorite gold color for many women in recent years. Rose gold jewelry looks modern and soft at the same time, can be perfectly combined with white gold and offers a perfect stage for diamonds and colored stones alike. The alloy is usually made of 75% pure gold mixed with copper and a little silver (e.g. 20% copper and 5% silver & other trace elements). The higher the copper content, the redder the gold tone.
The all-rounder
18k white gold
White gold allows diamonds to shine with incomparable brightness and is therefore also preferred for engagement and memoire rings, for example. It looks sophisticated and can also give young or puristic designs a strong charisma. The addition of white precious metals to the gold gives this nuance its character. Example of a typical white gold alloy: 75% gold, 14% palladium and 11% silver & other trace elements. High-quality white gold can be more expensive than yellow and rose gold due to the proportion of expensive palladium.
Sophisticated
950 platinum
You can see and feel it: platinum is special. This rare and precious metal is extremely durable, retains its wonderful bright color without oxidizing and is often used for bridal jewelry because of its "eternal" beauty. It is denser than gold and silver - and therefore feels pleasantly heavy on the skin. The usual 950 alloy only contains 5% gold and other trace elements.
